This study presents an integrative literature review on methods and strategies for providing such holistic care, taking into account the complexity of these settings. The essential components of holistic care for critically ill patients can be identified through the analysis of various studies and specialized literature. These strategies include effective triage, professional communication, the use of up-to-date clinical protocols, and consideration of the patient's psychosocial needs. The literature indicates that healthcare team training and proper resource management are fundamental to ensuring that care for patients in urgent and emergency situations is holistic and effective. Providing holistic care in urgent and emergency situations involves complexities that are necessary for successful healthcare delivery during these critical moments. The study highlights the importance of an interdisciplinary approach featuring well-defined protocols and effective communication among healthcare professionals to ensure that all aspects of the patient's health are considered. Furthermore, addressing the patient's psychosocial and emotional needs is crucial for their recovery and well-being. Therefore, it is essential that the team be well-trained and resources managed efficiently to provide holistic care to patients in urgent and emergency situations.
