Interdisciplinary Practices in Health Education in the School Curriculum

Health education in the school context has proven to be an essential strategy for the comprehensive education of students. Through interdisciplinary practices, it is possible to promote the development of attitudes, values, and knowledge focused on quality of life, disease prevention, and the construction of a critical awareness of the social determinants of health. This is a narrative review, aiming to expand existing knowledge on the topic. Therefore, it is more flexible and does not require rigorous search protocols. It includes data collection, reading, article selection, and descriptive synthesis. This article discussed the importance of including health education in the school curriculum, highlighting the role of teachers and the school in the formation of citizens who are aware and responsible for their well-being and the community.
