Construction of Assignments for Psychological Work in Mental Health at Universities

The structural changes in society nowadays have an impact on the mental health of students at universities, which require the work of psychologists. The aim is to structure the possible roles of psychologists in mental health in the context of an university. This is a qualitative experience report which took place between June and July of 2024 at a university in an interior city of São Paulo. Twelve assignments were enlisted, encompassing actions in the individual and group spheres, from prevention to recovery of mental health processes, based on a critical approach to the expanded notion of psychological suffering at the university. The attributions are considered to be in line with the real needs of the professionals and students at the university. These duties converge with the need for constant theoretical and practical improvement of the psychologist and their role as a transforming agent in mental health.
