Abstract

In an increasingly degraded world with real threats to human survival, it is necessary to implement good practices that promote the healthy and sustainable development of people and environments. The aim of this article is to promote reflection on two global initiatives for building a more sustainable society: URBAN95, which is concerned with healthy environments for babies, young children and caregivers, and Green School Bali, which responds to local challenges and global perspectives in line with the parameters of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). Regarding the methodology, research was carried out on different search engines, websites and books to achieve the proposed objective. The conclusion is that investing in human potential from early childhood and continuing it throughout life through integral and holistic education seems to be a viable and innovative way of building sustainable ecosystems.
