A cárie interproximal representa grande desafio aos Cirurgiões-Dentistas. Uma situação clínica muito comum é a restauração em dentes posteriores com cárie interproximal que estende abaixo da junção cemento-esmalte. Tendo objetivo de realizar uma revisão de literatura sobre elevação de margem cervical em dentição posterior, abordando os principais critérios do tratamento. Este é um estudo descritivo e qualitativo, analisando a literatura científica, a partir de trabalhos publicados e em bases de dados, que aborda a elevação da margem cervical. Com a falta da estrutura do esmalte, presença de concavidades radiculares e interferência do tecido gengival, o profissional deve ter conhecimento para restaurar caixas proximais profundas. É indispensável o respeito da integridade do periodonto, gerando uma dificuldade na realização do método restaurativo de acordo os padrões ideais. Concluímos que a técnica é um procedimento com etapas e critérios que devem ser seguidos para que não haja complicações.Downloads
