Abstract: The objective of the study was to carry out an integrative review of the literature, in which the main morphological characteristics of the dental arches of individuals with Down Syndrome were shown under the orthodontic prism, through the selection of articles published between 2018 and 2022. It is an integrative literature review elucidated through the use of the main health databases such as: LILACS, SciELO, PubMed and Google Scholar. The sample obtained through the searches presented an initial total of 336, which after applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria included a total of 7 studies. The main oral alteration of patients diagnosed with Down syndrome is the intense prevalence of alterations related to malocclusion classified as Angle class III. It is important to point out about early treatment, considering that interventions in the permanent arch have dubious prognoses, thus making surgical interventions essential.
